Contacts Pro: email, call or video chat in one click
Open a contact in Contacts Pro and the buttons are waiting at the top: Email now, Call, Chat now and View website. Chat now starts a video call on your own site and hands you the link to send.

When you open a contact, you usually want to get in touch with them. Contacts Pro now puts the ways to do that at the top of their card, so you don't have to hunt through menus.
Four buttons, where you need them
Open any contact and you will see:
- Email now - writes to them straight away. If you have a mailbox in Email Pro, the message opens there; otherwise it opens in your usual mail program.
- Call - rings their main phone number, on a phone or a computer set up for calls.
- Chat now - starts a video call on your own site (more on this below).
- View website - opens their website in a new tab.
Each button only shows when it can work. No phone number, no Call button. No website, no View website. So the row only shows what you can actually do for that contact.
Chat now: a video call, and the link to send
Click Chat now and two things happen. The call opens for you in a new tab, and the contact's card shows their link to the call. From there you can:
- Copy the link and paste it anywhere - a text message, WhatsApp, or the chat in another app.
- Email it to them in one click.
- Join to get back into the call if you closed the tab.
They open the link in their browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create. They knock, you let them in, and you are talking. The call runs on your own site, not on Zoom or Teams, and it comes with background blur, chat and screen sharing.
Every click on Chat now makes a fresh call with its own link, so an old link can't be used to walk into a new conversation.
Getting it
The new buttons are in Contacts Pro 0.12.0, which is on every site with Contacts Pro now. Reload the admin and open a contact to try them. The user manual's Contacts Pro chapter has the details.
Not on Contacts Pro yet? Ask us about it - it works over your existing contacts, so nothing moves and nothing is lost.
